"This is a fantastic Choice"

June, 2015

"This home was the perfect setting for a reunion of old friends from work -- and I hope will be the venue for a future gathering of my family and/or college friends. With daily housekeeping service and the ability to request dinners from the wonderful housekeeper, Mila, we enjoyed the comfort and spaciousness of being in a home, and yet enjoyed many of the services of a hotel. One focus of our trip was taking classes at the nearby Toscana Saporita Cooking School. Sandra Lotti, the proprietress, runs a terrific program. In addition, through the school, we found Moreno Borreiro, a talented (and very patient) fly-fishing guide who introduced us to fishing on the Lima River. The beautifully restored house, which is on the edge of a hill village on the edge of the Alpuane Alps, is comfortable and thoughtfully appointed. The well-tended property has absolutely gorgeous landscaping. At the top of the gardens, the view of the mountains and the sea is spectacular. There are wonderfully scenic walks in the neighborhood, details of which are included in the very detailed information packet provided by the owners. The weather during our early June trip was unexpectedly warm, so the very large, well-maintained swimming pool was a very welcome, much-used feature of our stay. Apart from the incredibly amiable housekeeper/cook, Mila, the property manager, Courtney, was an invaluable resource and proved to be a great trouble-shooter. In short, for those seeking a relaxing stay in a part of Tuscany not overrun by tourists, and in a beautifully restored and spacious home with some hotel-like services, this is a fantastic choice!"

"IT WAS A MAGICAL EXPERIENCE FOR THE SIX OF US"

June, 2014

"Having recently returned from our two week stay at this lovely tuscan home, we will always treasure our wonderful stay there with our two adult children and their spouses. A perfect getaway location for exploring a more tranquil section of tuscany. Beautifully appointed with the perfect towels, sheets, decor, audio and video amenities and even a delectable vegetable garden which completes the tuscan experience. Tucked away in a small village with all necessities in walking distance and hiking trails in all directions right outside the gates, this home is a treasure that was truly appreciated by both generations in our group. The owners have thought of everything to ease one into the italian experience from copious information, a most helpful staff and all the comforts of a lovely hotel. Its ideal location for exploring all of tuscany is free of the touristy feeling of other parts of tuscany. The mountain location with lush greenery in all directions was a welcome relief from the more dusty, barren and arid regions further to the south. We particularly enjoyed the various market days in the surrounding towns where we were able to hunt and gather for our meals. We are now trying to figure how soon we can return. It was a magical experience for the six of us."

"We Hope to return to this tuscan treasure"

September, 2014

"What a wonderful venue this was to spend a week celebrating the engagement of our children. It is the most beautiful Tuscan home with spectacular grounds. Having Mila the housekeeper and cook was an added bonus. She is a very sweet lady who visits daily and who takes much pride in keeping this beautifully restored home in pristine condition. She is an outstanding cook. Our only regret is that we didn't have Mila prepare more dinners for us! We all enjoy cooking and made great use of the outdoor wood pizza oven. All our meals were enjoyed outdoors under the pergola, even breakfast. We hope to return to this Tuscan treasure."
